چکیده

Abstract This paper presents a frequency domain solution to the delay-type Nehari problem. The solvability condition is formulated in terms of nonsingularities of three matrices. The optimal value is the maximal value such that one of the three matrices becomes singular when decreases from to . The all sub-optimal compensators are parameterized in a transparent structure with a modified Smith predictor. The -spectral factorization of a general para-Hermitian matrix is also given in this paper as a requisite for proof. Copyright c 2002 IFAC.

State-Space Formulas for the Nehari--Takagi Problem for Nonexponentially Stable Infinite-Dimensional Systems

We obtain state-space formulas for the solution of the Nehari-Takagi/sub-optimal Hankel norm approximation problem for infinite-dimensional systems with a nonexponentially stable generator, via the method of J-spectral factorization. We make key use of a purely frequency domain solution of the problem. AMS mathematical subject classification numbers: 41A30, 47B35, 47B50, 47N70, 93B28.

On standard H∞ control of processes with a single delay

This note presents a frequency domain method to solve the standard control problem for processes with a single delay. For a given bound on the closed-loop norm, there exist proper stabilizing controllers that achieve this bound if and only if both the corresponding delay-free problem and an extended Nehari problem with a delay (or a one-block problem) are all solvable. The solvability of the ex...

Free and Forced Transverse Vibration Analysis of Moderately Thick Orthotropic Plates Using Spectral Finite Element Method

In the present study, a spectral finite element method is developed for free and forced transverse vibration of Levy-type moderately thick rectangular orthotropic plates based on first-order shear deformation theory. Levy solution assumption was used to convert the two-dimensional problem into a one-dimensional problem. In the first step, the governing out-of-plane differential equations are tr...

Multiplicity and Minimality of Periodic Solutions to Delay Differential System

In this article, we study periodic solutions of a class of delay differential equations. By restricting our discussion on generalized Nehari Manifold, some sufficient conditions are obtained to guarantee the existence of infinitely many pairs of periodic solutions. Also, there exists at least one periodic solution with prescribed minimal period.
